When I get where I'm going...

I do not always understand why things happen the way they do, but God knows what he is doing. My pawpaw, R.B. Bailey, passed away last night. We had to make the decision to take him off the respirator and he breathed on his own for about 15 minutes. We were able to be with him during his last moments here. I know he is in a better place but it is still hard to lose someone you love. His funeral will be Tuesday. I can hear my cousin, Jason, practicing one of the songs he is going to sing at his funeral, When I get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley. It is such a pretty song. Please continue to keep my family in your prayers, especially my granny. It is going to be so hard for her. They had been married for 57 years.

Please pray for my pawpaw

Tuesday morning my pawpaw (my dads dad) had a bad car accident. He broke his neck, which paralyzed him from the chest down. He also has some broken ribs and broken bones in his face. The doctors do not think he will make it. The latest update is that his blood pressure was 60/30 something, which is very low. He is in a hospital in Memphis and Josh and I are heading out in the morning to go see him. The rest of my family is already there. So please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

Campfires and Smores

I guess it is true, time flies when you are having fun :) We have already been married for almost 7 weeks, WoW! Living in Pulaski is a lot of fun. Life is very simple and stress-free here. Josh and
I get to spend a lot of quality time together!

Last weekend we decided to go camping. This was my 1st camping experience so I was very excited. We went to David Crockett State Park and it was so beautiful there. After we picked out our campsite and set everything up, we tried to find a restuarant that was playing the UT game (because you know we can't go a weekend without watching the UT game!). We went to several places but no one was playing the game because it was on pay-per-view. We decided to grab something to eat and go back to our campsite to make smores. They were so good! After relaxing around the fire for a while, we decided to get some rest. We slept in a tent on an air mattress and actually slept very good! That morning we got up and ate Shoney's breakfast bar (we didn't "rough it" too bad, haha) It was so good! We spent the rest of the day fishing and walking the nature trails. It was such a wonderful trip!

That evening we saw the BEST movie, Fireproof. I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are married or soon-to-be married. It shows how important it is to keep God first in your life and in your marriage. On the drive home, we made a commitment to one another to always keep God first and to always be good to eachother.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed reading my very 1st blog!! I will be updating often ... so check back to see what else God has in store for our life!
