Please Pray:)

Please be praying for my husbands job situation. He has been working for his brother (his brother owns a landscaping/yard business) and he really needs to make a change. He has a degree in criminal justice and there are a couple of jobs he is trying to get right now. One has to do with his degree and would be a good job with good benefits. The other is his dream job- he has always wanted to be a fireman! The only problem is that it is very very hard to get on in Metro where he wants to work. He took his tests a few months ago and we just heard back yesterday that he got a 10 out of 10 and he is scheduled to go for an interview!!! I am SO proud of him! This is still not guaranteed he will get on- there are thousands of people who are trying to get on and they are hiring less than 100. It is a very long process. We have already been waiting to hear something for 3 months and it will probably be another few months. But we have been praying about it and we know that if this is where God wants him to be, he will get the job! So I would really appreciate your prayers :) Thank you so much!

Christmas card

I just ordered our Christmas cards!! They are simple but cute. I ordered them from vistaprint.com. That is where I get my salon business cards and they are pretty reasonable. My mom took a few pictures of me & my sweet hubby the other day for our cards. She did such a good job!!!I am 5 ft. tall and Josh is 6'2 so it is always tricky taking pictures! He always looks like a giant next to me! Oh, and Kobe was not cooperating or being photogenic in ANY of the pictures! He was trying get down and play with every other dog around us. Oh well.....We took the pics at Centennial Park in Nashville. It is so pretty there!!
This one is my fav :) It is the one that is on our Christmas card.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Today is Wednesday... Which means the weekend is getting closer :) Yay! I'm linking up again over at littledaisymay.blogspot.com with What I'm Loving Wednesday....

I am LOVING the fact that this Sunday will be our 1st Sunday back in our church since the floods back in May!!! We had about 5 ft. of water in our church and lost everything. The past 7 1/2 months have been a really hard time for our church but I know God has big plans for our church! He is good- all the time!I am LOVING my purchases from this past weekend :) I got the cutest coat from Ann Taylor Loft for 50% off!! I couldn't find an exact picture on line but this one is very similar except mine is a grayish/blueish color.I also got this jacket at Express and I am in love :) Not only is it soo cute but it is soo comfy AND I got it at a great price!! It was normally $98.00 .... I had a coupon for $30 off of a $75 purchase.... I also had a store credit for $30(something) so I ended up paying $38.00 for it! I got an email today saying all of their outerwear is 30% off now but I added it up and I still got it at a better deal :)I have an obsession with coats. I really need a bigger coat closet....


I am LOVING that my Pottery Barn quilt came in yesterday and I loooove it!! Woo Hoo!! I will show you which one I decided to get and the rest of my bedroom when I get it all done :)

I am LOVING that me & my mom are going to the Nashville Flea Market this weekend. It is the big Christmas Village weekend & I plan on finishing up most of my Christmas shopping there.

Apple Nachos

A couple of months ago I signed up for a 1 year Taste of Home magazine subscription for FREE! I saw a recipe in there called Apple Nachos and they looked really good so I had to give it a try. .but I changed a few things about it. (if you want to original recipe, you can find it on their website.) They were SOO good and SOO easy!

-Slice apples into chips about 1/4 inch thick

-Top with cinnamon, chopped walnuts, coconut, semi-sweet chocolate chips, caramel sauce.... or whatever else you think sounds good!

-Put in microwave for 45 seconds & Enjoy:)

Quilt Love :)

We have been in our house for over a year now and it is still so un-done. The only room I am happy with is my living room (for the most part anyway). Kitchens & bathrooms cost so much to re-do so that will take just a little more saving, but a bedroom is a little more affordable :)

I've been looking on Pottery Barn's website today and have been falling in love with everything I see!! Too bad I can't have it all.....but I am thinking about splurging for one of these quilts!!

Actually, I saw this one 1st and loved it AND it was on sale BUT they didn't have it in queen :( Hate it when that happens.....I really like this one! I love the soft colors and I would paint my walls a pretty cottage-y blue color.

Love this one too!! Not sure what I would paint my walls with this one though.... This is so hard......

Either way, I know a quilt will be delivered to my house very soon :)

I am loving the Slim in 6 videos by Beach Body I ordered a couple of months ago!! When I work out, I tend to build muscle & bulk up (in my legs & hips) but these videos are supposed to make you slimmer. I think it may be working :)I am loving Coffee Mate's new seasonal creamers! My favorite is the Pumpkin Spice.

I am loving that Christmas is ONLY 7 1/2 weeks away!!! I have already started buying Christmas presents and I am so ready to get them wrapped and put away under the tree. Is it too early to decorate?!! Maybe I will do a little this weekend while the hubby is out of town..... :)

cutest kitty ever

My niece, Addy, was the cutest kitty ever yesterday for Halloween :)Look at her chubby cheeks!.....and that tail!!
It is hard to imagine that next Halloween she will be runnng around everywhere. I just love her SO much!
